DevOps Automation Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Automation Engineer with strong experience in building and adopting software delivery tools to accelerate DevOps growth. In this role you will be heavily involved in delivering integral DevOps automation capabilities on a huge scale using tools like Terraform and Jenkins. You can facilitate this massive automation transformation to make a real and positive change in future operations.

Responsibilities:

• Builds automation tools to help assist with migration activities
• Develops artefacts based on the information provided by the short-term embedded engineers
• Extends the pipeline-library with the developed artefacts
• Creates & maintains documentation and operating procedures for all tools created
• Collaborates with other business units to understand how automation can improve workflow
• Gathers requirements from stakeholders to develop the best automation solutions.
• Runs tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware, and software
• Identifies bugs and quality issues in development, service, or business processes

Qualifications / Required Skills:

• Previous experience in a DevOps / Cloud / Agile role
• Good understanding of SDLC, CICD and Git
• Hands-on knowledge with Terraform and GitLab
• Good understanding of Jenkins, Concourse-CI, Bamboo
• Solid understanding of automated software application builds and deployments
• Automation mind-set with a background in DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure roles
• Experience with scripting tool of choice to help automate reproduction environments (for example, Bash, Python, Golang)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• AWS experience with knowledge of networking and security
• Capable of building scalable and robust infrastructure
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
