Senior DevOps Engineer – Vault SME

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will join a team of highly motivated DevOps engineers to develop tools as well as deliver cloud-scale infrastructure capacity for our customers. You will have the opportunity to bring thought leadership to the role, and help ideate, design, prototype, and implement features with the tenet of customer empathy as the guiding principle.

Vault is an identity-based secrets and encryption management system. It helps organizations secure dynamic infrastructure across any cloud and environment. D|OPS Digital focuses on providing the customers with a delightful experience with their secrets management workflows. We take responsible for making improvements throughout customers’ journeys (adoption, onboarding/migration, implementation, scaling, etc) in the process of using Vault as their secrets management solution. These experiences extend across cloud and self-managed ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

• Review and refactor the existing customer’s solution, ensuring the existing HashiCorp Vault implementation is highly available, resilient to failure and will scale to meet the business and technical requirements
• Build and onboarding, reliability, governance plan and engagement model to accelerate user migration
• Undertake a review of existing Vault policies, determining if they are fit for purpose and migration process for those which are
• Work with the customer’s team o meet ARB requirements, update the Solution Architecture Document (SAD), and implement design
• Post implementation, create and update existing Documentation & Runbooks for common changes

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess DevOps skills, software development, and project management delivery experience. The ideal candidate will be part of the team that solves infrastructure deployment issues with software, delivers high velocity and high-quality infrastructure in private as well as public cloud environments.

• Experience working end to end with HashiCorp Vault
• Experience working with PAM/IAM tools, integrating DevSecOps for applications
• Experience working in an Agile development environment, with an end-to-end understanding of the SDLC
• Experience designing patterns, developing code samples and documentation for application integration with the password management solutions
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, HashiCorp Tools, Ant/Maven/Gradle, Nexus/Artifactory, Puppet/Chef/Ansible, Docker/ Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with implementing software products or solutions to large and dynamic enterprise companies
• Experience/familiarity with CI/CD tools
